Joomla Facebook Connect 2.5

With Joomla Facebook Connect 2.5, Facebook users can quickly register and login on your Joomla websites. This free Joomla extension was re-written from ground up and should work out of the box. Many new features have been added to the extension, such as redirection options, publish on wall configuration and major transformation to the component backend. Facebook Login module can be configured to show only login button or form.

Language file available are en-GB, da-DK  and fr-FR at the moment. If you want this extension in another language, you will have to help me translate it in your language and attach file here. The language files can be found after extracting the zip files under “languages” folder for the component and for modules, it’s under “modules/mod_fbcnt/languages” folder. There’s also a language editor tool in the component back-end where you can easily edit its language files.

    • DEMO: Demo has been disabled in this site, due to excessive registration. I encourage everyone to test extension in their own testing environment. And please share some good working example sites for demo, I’ll include them here.

    • Hi existing users just have to enter their old password in order to link their account with Facebook.

    Nice job for this ! I have a pb after entering name and password (option to let user choose it), a message appear

    500 – Affichage introuvable [name, type, prefix] : fbcnt, fr, fbcntView (display unavailable).

    Which part should i look to solve it please ?

    I would like to show only the fb button and eventually use another login and register component. I mean I don’t want to see:
    Username
    Password
    Remember Me
    Forgot your password?
    Forgot your username?
    Create an account

    But I can’t find out where this comes from…
    Is it from another joomla extension? I don’t find these sentences in your extension language files…

    I am very interested in this module but unfortunately I found the following message when I click on the download button:

    When developing a site, the application was working properly and there were no problems.
    But now that I got the host site and put into application shows the following when trying to login with Facebook:
    To use reCAPTCHA you must get an API key from https://www.google.com/recaptcha/admin/create
    In the reCAPTCHA plugin, i insert API key, but no change!?
    Where could be the problem?

    API Error Code: 191
    API Error Description: The specified URL is not owned by the application
    Error Message: Invalid redirect_uri: Given URL is not allowed by the Application configuration.

      is this component still working ?
      it looks like it connects to facebook but the error above comes up and you thin kyou are connected to joomla but you are not !
