First make sure, cURL is installed in your host server. Here are few screenshots to show how component and module are installed in your joomla CMS.These are the screenshots from Joomla 1.5 admin control panel. Even if you are using newer joomlas, instillation process are similar.
- First step is to download and extract the zip file downloaded from saaraan.com. Make sure you know where you have extracted the zip files. In your administrator control panel, click Extension menu and select Install/Unistall link from the menu.

- You should see extension manager page, where you can browse to Facebook Graph Connect extension files in your computer. (Remember where you have exactly extracted the downloaded zip file.) First select com_fbjconnect.zip, and click “Upload and Install button”.

- After the installation you should see “Facebook Graph Connect” link in your components menu. Now before clicking on that button. Make sure to create facebook application for you site. click here and create an application, Note down App ID and App secret codes. If you dont know how to do it, Read How to create Facebook App here.

- Once you have your AppId and App Secret, Click “Facebook Graph Connect” link in your components menu. In another page, similar to image below, click Parameters or Options, usually on right side of the screen.

- A popup should be visible now, Enter your Facebook App ID and App Secret in input boxs like in image below. Click save the settings.

- Now Install “mod_jfbgconnect.zip” zip file as shown in first and second step above. After installation, click “Module Manager” in Extensions menu, on next page Find “Facebook Graph Login Module” and enable it, dont forget to set the display position where you want to connect button to appear.

First of all, love this Module/Component, great job!
Only got one, maybe dumb, question. How do you get the “login”-button in your standard joomla login-form?
Tried to copy the cody in the default.php of the module. Didn’t work =/
new version comes with a form..
HI
I think I found a bug…
If the user is not logged in and enter the article will be error
Fatal error: Call to a member function get() on a non-object in /home/a5753351/public_html/plugins/content/fbcnt/fbcnt.php on line 107
But when it is online everything works fine
I am trying to understand this facebook connect extension and any time I install something on my website all I need to do is download then install it without unzipping it and my joomla website will do the rest. Can I do it the same way or do I have to unzip it first? Also how do you get it not to show in the website? All I want it for is just signing in I down want it in the backend. That takes up alot of room on my website. Any help would be great You can email me at williamj1921@hotmail.com
How do you hide this after you sign in with it. All I see is big boxes where the plug in is. It takes up alot of space.

Hi Saran
Great job!
It seems I have 3 issues:
): “got a problem. please try later”
1. at logout i get a “too many redirections” page (but I guess it may be a config issue on my side)
2. when i try to register with my FB account, after mail and password of fb account, I get an error from FB (sorry approximate french to english translation
Is there a way to get the error message?
I can’t even know if the issue comes from joomla or FB…
could it come from the firewall?
i see login
and no fb login button
Hi Saaraan,
Thank you very much for this great extension…I really like it…but now am receiving an error
when i click on the login button
“An error occurred. Please try again later.”
Please check it out and let me know what the problem could be…
Error in page when I click Download
Warning: include_once(live_connect.class.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/saaraan/saaraan.com/index.php on line 2
Error is fixed, thanks for notifying.
Hello, I completed the installation and the Facebook login button appeared in my login screen but when I connect through facebook it does not log me into the site. Any suggestions.. One thing, when I install it is called Facebook Connect Login Module, not facebook graph connect..
same thing for me, lets me go through the motions with the fb popup screen and linking my account but doesnt log me in to my site or chat
I figured out the problem. On the first page of the fb app config I didn’t have the app pointing to my page correctly.
When I log out of my site, the logout popup shows my FB profile picture, and the text to click log out is white on white background so you cannot see it? any suggestions on how to change that?
all sorted now, thanks for such a great mod and good on you for keeping it free
il be donating without fail in a month or 2 when my site gets a few donations in
cheers
